(info@otomoxsolutions.com) Estimating position responsibilities include, preparing quotes for total building envelope solutions (Roofing, Waterproofing, Dampproofing, Exterior wall applications) using our internal quote program. Additionally, liaising with 3rd party suppliers for outsourced services or products, when necessary. Responsibilities: Prepare and/or assists in completing budgetary and final estimating of scopes of work Develop and/or assists in the preparation of estimate packages Use knowledge to focus work and drive short and long-term solutions Review requests for quotations and customer supplied drawings to determine the quantity of material, labour, and other factors that may impact the overall costs of a project Responsible for detailed cost estimates and qualification development for bid proposals Perform detailed structural and miscellaneous take offs Establish pricing for structural and/or miscellaneous scopes of work Deal with general contractor, subcontractors and customer - must be able to maintain relationships with customer Contract supplier for material price and lead time Assist other department as required Other projects as assigned Requirements: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 2-3 years experience in construction project estimation is preferred Estimating program graduates would be an asset Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Able to perform site visits when required Strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently Adapts easily to a fast-paced environment Exceptional ability to maintain schedules and meet established deadlines.
