Job DescriptionTang and Kung Real Estate Group is searching for a full-time Property Management Assistant.The Property Management Assistant is responsible for managing all aspects of the tenant experience, which involves day-to-day operations of the portfolio including but not limited to tenant relations, rental showings, move in and out and property maintenance.The Property Management Assistant will work closely with the Property Managers and the Property Management Team to provide world-class service to our clients. The diverse set of responsibilities will require an applicant with strong communication, administrative and customer service skills.Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Stay up to date on the latest landlord-tenant laws, rules, and regulations- Supporting the overall leasing and tenant relations functionsMarketing and showings- Marketing and showing available properties to prospective tenants- Responding to inquires and scheduling appointments for property viewings, screening tenants- Managing the presentation of applications to owners for approval- Communication with applicants to ensure they are kept up to date with the status of their application- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the properties including availability and layouts, amenities and surrounding neighbourhoods- Assisting the Property Administration Manager with tenancy agreements, supporting documents and ensuring timely and accurate information for completion- Creating and distributing marketing materials to attract new tenants, i.e. Craigslist, Zumper, T&K website, Facebook, and/or other social mediaMove in and out- Conduct move in and out transactions with the tenants- Understand and carry out BC Tenancy rules and expectations- Ensure completion of move in and out paperwork and provide completed kits to administration team for filingKeys to Success- Experience in residential property management, hospitality or customer service is an asset- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to listen to others, collaborate and resolve conflict- Excellent conflict resolution skills; be a problem solver: ability to work out details with potential tenants, put bids out for work or service on the property, and deal with diverse tenant personalities- Able to cope with changing client needs and deliver successful results- High level of organization and attention to detail, the ability to work independently and prioritize workload- Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalismRequirements- Must be able to work flexible hours, position requires some weekends and evening work- Competence with Microsoft office software, tech savvy and the desire and ability to learn new systems- Completion of a criminal record check- Possess a valid Canadian Driver’s license and a vehicle- Customer service or hospitality experienceBenefits- Car allowance- Gas allowance- Cell phone- Casual dress code- Flexible schedule- Paid time offApplication process- Resume- Cover Letter- 5 minute video highlighting a situation in which you provided exceptional customer service experience to a clientStart Date- Immediately
