We are a leading NVOCC/Freight Forwarder who is currently looking to expand our Import Operations team at our Richmond, BC branch.
Job Requirements:
• Update and complete arrival notices as they are downloaded from our overseas offices. • Prepare and distribute completed arrival notices in timely fashion to our customers. • Track and trace shipments - keeping customers well informed of any / all changes. • Maintain documentation and records according to established company protocol. - Paperless environment. • Facilitate all aspects of importation of cargo as necessary - i.e. arrange door delivery, arrange customs clearance through our network of services. • Previous experience in ocean transportation and knowledge of shipping documentation is required.
• Soft Skill set: Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. • Must be able to work under pressure and fast pace. • Take direction from supervisor and superiors, be aggressive in secure business.
• Hard Skill Set: Computer knowledge at user level - • Use and familiarity of Microsoft Office suite products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel) • Learn and navigate our proprietary software. • Track and trace ability with internet.
Salary: DOE Hours: M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
