We offer compilation, taxation, forensic and valuation services.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our Compilation team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles and possess strong analytical skills. The Accounting Technician will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including the following:Responsibilities: Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures; Assist with corporate tax returns, and personal income tax returns; Prepare monthly bookkeeping, including financial reports, and assist with financial analysis; Prepare and filing GST, PST and other statutory returns; Prepare corporate tax returns, and personal income tax returns; Prepare information slips such as T4's, T5’s, Non-resident forms; Support the team in preparing working papers and financial statements for compilation engagements; Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions; Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.Qualifications: 2+ years of working experience in accounting setting (public practice an asset); Associate degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred); Enroll in CPA program an asset but not required; Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices; Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Caseware) and MS Office, particularly Excel; Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Effective time management and organizational abilities; Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; Strong verbal and written communication skills, with good customer service skills; Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and compliance requirements; Proficiency in writing and communication of English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin, an asset; Join us in a dynamic and supportive work environment, where your skills and expertise will be appreciated.
