Core Responsibilities:-Responsible for the preparation and processing payroll, including maintenance of employee records, and preparation of payroll-related accounting information.-Responsible for ensuring payroll compliance with Canadian laws.-Perform full cycle bookkeeping.-Setting up new QuickBooks files and/or taking over of previous books.-Calculation and filing of government remittances such as GST/HST, PST, payroll deductions, EHT, and WCB.-Responsible for year-end preparation of T4s and other tax forms.-Preparation of year-end working paper packages for accountants.-Other general office duties.Qualifications and Requirements:-Degree/diploma in accounting or related field.-Minimum 2 years of full cycle Canadian payroll experience.-High level of proficiency using QuickBooks and payroll systems.-Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office.-Solid knowledge of employment and labor standards.-Experience in filing of government remittances.Please email resume to chris@seaurchin.net
