King's Auto Lease Ltd. current have an opening for the Senior Accountant/ Controller position. If you have experience with financial planning, analysis and management duties, this is the role for you! You will be responsible for a combination of things including month end closing, financial modelling, and strong reporting skills. Previous dealership experience preferred/ required.Responsibilities:- Monitor month end close process and review month-end working papers.- Monthly/quarterly/annual government remittances including payroll, GST/PST, and WCB remittances.- Administer employee payrolls/termination, process payroll/termination cheques, T4 slips and ROE.- Administer group benefits for new hires/termination- Timely monthly reporting and summary for management- Cashflow monitor and forecast modeling- Experience with setting up company budgets and monitoring- Sales gross margin analysis and reporting- Liaise with external auditor for year end, compiling required working papers- Ad hoc projects such as tax issue research, CRA correspondences, CRA audits, and system implementation for new business units.- Review vehicle washouts and issue corresponding commission, dealer reserve, and gift card cheques.- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded- Update accounts receivable, issue invoices, and perform reconciliation- Update accounts payable, issue cheques, and perform reconciliation- Handles the reconciliation of bank accounts, prepaids and accruals reconciliation- Review expenses, accrual & prepaid accounts etc. as assigned- Prepare funding documentsQualifications:3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance in car dealership industryBA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldWorking knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with QuickBooksExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent organization and great attention to detailGood with numbers and figures and an analytical acumenGood understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
