A base knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping is required, along with a can-do attitude and a high attention to detail - especially under tight deadlines.Duties and responsibilities include:Assist in bookkeepingHelp with bank reconciliation and credit card statement reconciliationPerform general ledger accounts reconciliationPerform general accounts payableRunning banksAssist in payroll and manage employee filesAssist on accounting-related projectsAssist in monthly reportsSupport year-end auditOther duties as requiredRequirements:1-2 years related working experienceBeing fluent in English (being fluent in Mandarin or Japanese is desirable)Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. data entry, editing, writing formulas and functions, creating charts)Being very organized, clean, honest and flexibleJob Type: Full-time, PermanentHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:We are located in Vancouver, BCMust be able to reliably commute to our downtown office, or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:sage 50 : 1 year (required)Bookkeepers: 1 year (required)Accounting: 1 year (preferred)Working on Excel: 2 years (required)Expected start date: ASAPJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $15.65-$25.00 per hourFlexible language requirement:French not requiredSchedule:8 hour shift
