Pay is negotiable based on experience andeducation.Position: Technician AssistantReason for posting: This position is posted to fill a vacancyLocation: Richmond BCTerm/Status: Permanent/Full timeSalary: CAD $18~24 up / hour based on experienceClosing date: When the position is filledSpecific Duties and Responsibilities:Assist engineers and technicians for all production related tasksConduct pre-coating cleaning and post-coating polishing related workBe able to operate wet-blaster, sand blast machine, oven, ultrasound cleaning, and PVD coating equipmentInspect and pack completed goodsMaintain all shop equipment per manual and maintenance schedule in clean, safe, working orderComplete work orders and provide exceptional service for customer's satisfactionCollaborate with teams of engineering and sales to understand customer requirementsCommunicate with the customers and provide technical assistance regarding coating and production as needed:- Design and complete fixture modifications as needed- Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of the company’s products and systems- Follow company’s standard operating procedure (SOP) and comply company’s ISO9001 quality standard for all services and products- Troubleshoot equipment problems and concerns at the shop when neededRequirements:- Working experience in machine shop or labs- Diploma in engineering, material science, electronics, or related field- Good people and communication skills- Self-directed.
