Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor store sales and implement strategies to meet sales goals while maximizing profits;
  
• Plan inventory level based on sales status. Schedule future purchasing, shipping and promotion plans;
  
• Receive shipments, and assisting with inventory and restocking of items;
  
• Process website orders. Including confirming order information, and pick and pack shipment when necessary;
  
• Reporting to the company’s directors and owners.

Currently, Thurso Surf is mainly an online business. In the near future, we plan to set up an office close to beaches in Toronto. The office will be a one-stop-shop retail space for stand-up paddleboarding gear, apparel, accessories, books, magazines and everything SUP-related. In addition to the retail space, it will serve the community by providing surf, SUP and movement lessons year-round. And to top it off, our space functions as an event space, in which we celebrate community, surfing and wellbeing.
Qualifications and Skills

• Work proficiency in verbal and written English language;
  
• Detail-oriented. Embracing the nothing-too-small attitude;
  
• Dedicated to deliver excellent results when accomplishing tasks;
  
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills, including telephone/live chat etiquette;
  
• Eager to learn new skills and being a fast learner;
  

• Ability to take initiative independent of direct supervision;
  
• Flexible to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and occasional late night shifts.
