Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Work alone or with the engineering team to develop new machines
Selection of mechanical components such as actuators, motors, fasteners, bearings, etc...
Design, develop and detail mechanical components and assemblies for manufacturing purposes.
Design hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
Create assemblies, designs, BOMs, etc. using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
Research qualified suppliers.
Contact and consult with suppliers to resolve problems.
Purchase equipment parts.
Qualifications:
An understanding of manufacturing and machining processes.
Able to perform and work both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to write organized engineering documents.
5+ years of recent experience in Mechanical Engineering / design
1+ years recent experience using Solidworks
Proficient in 2D (Autocad) and 3D (Solidworks) design
Experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry. (preferred)
