CanadaStays is a rapidly growing online vacation rental company changing the way Canadians search and book their accommodation options. We are well-funded and established, and are looking to add key positions to our close-knit Development team. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a large consumer website visited by millions of users. We ship code on a very regular basis, and you will have the opportunity to influence the direction of your involved projects.

Relevant areas of expertise:

Experience with at least one of PHP, Python, Node.js or Ruby backend web application development.
Experience working with a MVC framework.
Ability to write SQL query and query data with ORM.
Excellent abilities in HTML, CSS, JavaScript & Ajax.
Strong sense of ownership with every lines of code.
Understanding of version control systems such as GIT and Github.
Basic understanding of Unix commands and environments (we use vagrant boxes for development).
Fine attention to details.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What you will get from this co-op:

We are located in downtown Toronto just a few minutes from Summerhill TTC Station.

We do code reviews, scrum software development, issue tracking with Jira, and communication with Slack.

Experience:

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field in a Canadian university.
Open source and side projects are a big plus
Salary commensurate with co-op experience
