Express Employment Professionals, Delta/Richmond, is hiring for a Bilingual Events Coordinator (English/ Mandarin) for pharmaceutical products of an international company with head office in USA. This local branch is well-established and has a sizable amount of business in North America and overseas. This is a 6 months contract with potential for extension!
Essential Functions
• Communicate on a weekly basis with direct report, aligning on current tasks related to ongoing incentives and events • Plan, coordinate, and manage rank advancement and other necessary sales recognition elements • Coordinate and assist in conceptualizing, structuring, and planning corporate events (locally and in North America) • Organize, plan and coordinate events including tours, incentives, meetings and conferences • Participate in and/or conduct home office events as needed • Work with the Marketing Team to oversee, edit and approve home office marketing / messaging tools for events. As well as manage and generate outgoing communications through Responsys and social media. • Work with Customer Service Team to identify event elements and guidelines in line with USANA policies • Prepare and submit event reporting /summaries/ team schedules and other projects as needed • Create and record processes for all events and recognition tasks • Establish and maintain partnerships with venues, caterers and vendors to deliver and promote quality events
Additional Job Functions
• Able to work independently and as part of a team • Work closely with other departments in Canada and home office to move projects forward • Understand and adhere to GMP policies and procedures. • Perform other duties as assigned or required
• Must be fluent in English – verbal and written • Bilingual in Chinese preferred – verbal and / or written • Strong communication skills – verbal and written • Strong organizational ability and detail oriented • Able to travel • Occasionally work weekends • Class 5 driver’s license • College Diploma or University Degree in Communications, Hospitality, Events and/or Marketing or equivalent experience is an asset. • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office programs); experience with Graphics, Photoshop, Illustrator programs an asset • A passion to understand production elements including audio visual, lighting, production, staging and integration into events • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities, multi-task, and meet project deadlines; • Prior experience in events, décor or production an asset
Monday to Friday, office hours tba
Pay is $22/ hour. Possible extension after 6 months contract.
