Position Title: Merchandiser

# of hiring: 1

Term of Employment: 6 months renewable Term (Full time)

Paid: $14-$18 + commission

Location: Ottawa, ON, Canada

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with the marketing director for daily business and marketing operation.
• Communicates actively with potential clients in different countries, and attend important trade shows
• Troubleshoots supplier problems and assists with resolution.
• Assesses plans and negotiates with clients regarding costs, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Ensures all the sampling stages are conducted according to the plans.
• Performs sourcing/marketing research.
• Assists Supply Chain planning strategies.
• Translates documents to assist the Costing Department with costing and sourcing special fabrics and trims.
• Maintains the social media platforms, e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter.
• Provide daily administrative support
• Additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Completion of college or higher, or undertaking university degree
• Strong English communication skill – both oral and written; Mandarin, French is an asset
• Excellent communication, organizational, quick learning, and collaboration skills
• Experience in operating e-platform and other social media for advertising marketing
• Some sales or relevant customer service experience is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications and Internet Applications.
• Capacity to work independently
• Ability to constantly improve and optimize
• The candidate should possess Canada legal work permit

We offer new hire internal training relevant to marketing and sale business. The hired employee may also be required to take business trip with the director of marketing if necessary.
