Employer Overview Pâtisserie Cocobun and Pâtisserie Coco are bakeries serving freshly baked buns, pastries, cookies, snacks and drinks. We specialize in Asian-style breads and pastries which use exotic flavours such as green tea, red bean, taro, coconut, among many other flavourful and colourful ingredients. With over 400 locations in the world, Presotea is a global Taiwanese teahouse. Presotea uses its own cutting edge tea-brewing machine known as the Teapresso to concoct brew-to-order drinks, for the freshest and healthiest tea drinks. In Montreal, Presotea currently operates four locations. Together, we currently operate seven Cocobun, Coco and Presotea locations throughout Montreal, QC.
Position Overview The Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper is an integral part of the management team and will work closely with the company's accountant. This position will be responsible for setting up and keeping financial records, maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation. Moreover, the Administrative Assistant will also be working on marketing materials such as editing/formatting posters, menu, price tags, and social media content.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- managing day to day bookkeeping, record keeping, filing
- calculating and preparing cheques for vendor invoices and other expenditures
- coordination of HR duties including setting up new employees and preparing payroll
- working with accountant to provide records and information toward financial reports and government filings
- researching and responding to management inquiries
- performing other administrative tasks as needed
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or related field
- At least 3 years' experience in a bookkeeping role
- Familiarity with AP/AR/Payroll/bank recs/inventory, monthly, quarterly/yearly reports, costs analysis, historical data/variance analysis
- Proficiency in Quickbooks or SimplyAccounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word)
- Proficiency in Photoshop or other image editing applications not required, but a strong asset.
- Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
- Must be fluent in both French and English.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Excellent work ethics and demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Must possess high integrity and strong sense of responsibility
- Experience in the Food & Beverage industry not required but would be preferred
