Daily Duties and Responsibilities

Regular monitoring on the dashboard
Monitoring environment temperatures inside the data center and adjusting ventilation as required;
Perform firmware updates and patches as required;
Managing technical documentation;
Configuring new switches along with IOS up-gradation using TFTP server;
Knowledge on Cisco Catalyst Switches (i.e., C2960, C2960+, C3650, C9200L) and Cisco Firewall (i.e., ASA 5506X, Firepower 1010ASA);
Handling port mapping to maintain redundancy on Jump Switches and Ensuring correct VLAN is configured on ports;
Maintaining EtherChannel and STB for robust network;
Trunk Port management of Cisco Switches;
Using backtracking methodology and logs to detect any Switches or firewall issues for troubleshooting network;
Working on data servers along with management including other monitoring activities. Hardware troubleshooting as required.
Walk in the facility on a regular basis


Education and Experience

High School Diploma/GED required;
Knowledge on Microsoft Office products like Excel, Word;
IT background/Data center experience preferred.
The ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated, able to follow instruction, and adhere to safety and PPE policies. Every employee will need to be able to do a walk-through of the facility at various times throughout their shift to ensure that everything is running efficiently, taking notes of potential problems and reporting them so they can be addressed.
