Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Outreach Director and District Manager, the receptionist serves as the education leader responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school. The receptionist will work collaboratively to direct and nurture members of the school staff hired by the Board of Directors and to communicate effectively with parents. The receptionist will also be responsible for registration, scheduling, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Register new students, collect payment and provide invoices to parents Input student and payment information into database Set up classroom and registration desk before the start of class Regularly check on classes to ensure everything is running smoothly and solve any issues that may arise Keep classes on schedule by ensuring students are set up at their computers and ready to begin and ensuring students are wrapping up and saving their projects prior to the end of class Check attendance notes and inform instructors of any students who will be absent Qualifications: Completion of at least 2 years in a recognized post-secondary program Previous related experience coordinating school programs, camps and experience working with kids and youth Demonstrated professionalism and clear communication in person, by e-mail and on the phone Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel Sector Vulnerability Check required under your municipality
